Emulsifiers are one of the most fundamental ingredients in skin care products. They not only define the stability of cosmetic formulations, but also contribute greatly to their sensory profile and overall perception. Ideally, an emulsifier should enable stable emulsions that feel great on the skin and at the same time moisturize and protect the skin. In-house tests have shown that hydrogenated phospholipids are exceptionally capable of stabilizing oil-in-water (o/w) emulsions in cosmetic formulations. Furthermore, their use, even in small quantities, will result in a significant improvement in skin feel.
